How we work What we work on Case studies Why a boutique Talk To Us

Big firms scale their headcount. We scale our attention.

A small senior team going deep

There is a reason the largest consultancies grew the way they did. A global client wants a global supplier, and a partner can only sell what a hundred analysts can then deliver.

The model works. It also means the sharpest thinking often happens in the first three meetings, and everything after is a machine executing a pitch.

Reiv Team was started on the opposite bet: for sustainability work, where the real difficulty is human and local, a small team going deep beats a large one spread wide.

What size changes

Most people assume a boutique is a discount version of a big firm. Same work, fewer people, lower price. That is not the trade we are offering.

One team holds the whole operation.

Fewer clients means an entire operation fits in one team's head at once. The name of the site manager who was skeptical in March and came around in June stays with us.

Nothing gets lost in the handoff.

A decarbonization assumption made in the boardroom will eventually meet how a warehouse runs. A large team loses that collision in the gap between the people who sold the work and the people doing it. A small one keeps it, because they are the same people.

The senior person is the whole team.

At a large firm, the expert who wins your trust in the room is rarely the one who does your work. Seniority is a sales asset, deployed early and withdrawn once the contract is signed.

Here it works differently.

  • The founder-led team that scopes your engagement is the team that runs it.
  • The person answering your hard question has already read your data and sat in your factory.
  • Nobody is briefing up from a summary. Nobody is guessing what the client meant.

You will feel the difference within a fortnight.

The team that scopes the work is the team that runs it One senior team

Depth over breadth, on purpose.

Reiv Team does not try to serve every sector or every sustainability need. Our clients are large European companies whose impact lives in supply chains and operations, and the point of going far into their world is to be useful where a wider firm would stay decorative.

Focus compounds. Each engagement teaches us something specific:

  • How food moves across borders,
  • How a bank's financed emissions behave,
  • How a product's materials trace back to a mine.

That pattern recognition carries to the next client. Their confidential work never does.

What a boutique cannot do

Honesty about our limits is part of the offer.

Need a thousand-person transformation program rolled out across forty countries in a quarter? That is not us, and we will say so in the first conversation.

What we can do is the work that decides whether the program was pointed in the right direction to begin with. Strategy, materiality, and the on-site truth about what will survive contact with the operation. Get that right, and the large-scale rollout has something worth scaling.

A trusted extension of the team.

Engagements run for years. Over time, the relationship becomes a trusted extension of the team.

We are in the room for the awkward conversations, and often the call a sustainability director makes before the call to the board.

That closeness is only possible at our size, and it is why clients rarely go back to the alternative.

Testimonials

We have thousands of suppliers and yet we had mapped basically none of them properly. The people at Reiv Team didn't hand us a risk register and leave. They worked through the actual buying relationships with our category managers and turned it into something the commercial team would actually use. That's the part I didn't expect.

We'd put a net-zero date out publicly and then realized nobody could tell us how we'd hit it. Reiv Team went back through the numbers, worked out what each step would cost, and sat with our finance people until they signed off. I finally had an answer when the board asked.
